When does Satan attack? I can tell you without hesitation He attacks each one of us in a strategic way. In Mark 14:71 Peter uttered these words in complete frustration and anger as a result of the demonic pressure that was raging against him: “But he began to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not this man of whom ye speak.” The good news for Peter was that Jesus had prayed for him. Jesus specifically prayed for his faith not to fail in Luke 22:32-34. Thank God for his continual intercession for us! Where would be without it?

Here is what we learn about this account in Peter’s life.

  1. Satan attacks in times of pressure.
  2. He attacks during times of potential.
  3. He attacks in times of pride.

Lord, we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand and we pray that You forgive us for pride, forgive us for not looking to You in times of pressure, and forgive us as we’ve failed to walk circumspectly during times of potential. AMEN!
