In Genesis 1:26 we read where God made man in his own image, male and female created he them. The key word is image! When you look in the mirror whose image do you see? I hope you see your own. If you see someone else beside yourself, stop reading and drive straight to the hospital and ask to see someone on the sixth floor.
When you look in the mirror you see your image. When the Lord peers down from glory and looks at you, guess who’s image he beholds? His own! If we can see ourselves as He does we will give no place to the devil. When we forget what manner of man we are we find ourselves in a place of trouble.
2 Peter 1:5-8
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
